Ready for Competition

J.R. recently brought us up to speed on what’s happening in his world and where he is headed this year.

Hi guys.

It’s J.R. I thought you might like to know how I am doing firsthand. Well, as the summer ends and school begins, I have been really pushing myself to prepare for my sophomore year in high school. I enrolled in many hard courses including AP World History, and received many books I had to read this summer to keep up on my education. I have also been very busy with summer training for speed skating. I practice six days a week with only one day off (Friday). In between skating and sleeping, I like to go to the beach and hang out with skating and school friends. I do sometimes find myself bored and, if that happens, I tend to pick up a book and read or, rarely, take a nap.

Skating takes up most of my day, so I have to prepare and keep myself fresh for practice, or else I won’t be on top of my game. As for AIM, I am taking AIM BarleyLife® Xtra three times a day, AIMega™, AIM Proancynol® 2000 and AIM CellSparc 360®. As usual, these products give me extra energy and support for skating, so I can get in the maximum amount of training possible. I love AIM not only for what it does for my body, but for the support you guys provide me, so I am able to reach my goals and set new ones along the way.

Speaking of my goals, I want to make the top five at the first meet of the year—the American Cup. I also want to place first at the 2006 Junior Short Track Championships and for the Junior Worlds in Romania where my goal is to place in the top three for the 1,500 meter. My final goal for this season is to place in the top five at the US Championships in March.

That’s it for now. Thank you, and God bless.

J.R. Celski won the bronze at Junior World Championships!

J.R. reached the finals in the boys’ 500m race. After recovering from a fall with two laps to go, he kept his composure and secured himself a spot atop the awards podium with a third place finish at the ISU World Junior Short Track Championships in Romania on January 7, 2006. Congratulations J.R.!
